Research and Teaching Interest |
Dr. Ding's research is in the areas of manufacturing, modeling, and simulation. He is interested in the assembly and sealing technology for mechanical and electrical products. Specifically, he is studying the mechanism of preload loosening for bolted joints, the stress controlling techniques for precision assembly, the modeling and contact analysis methods for anisotropic surfaces, the effects of machining and assembly processes on the performance and durability of sealing elements. |
