    Research and Teaching Interest

We focus on the numerical simulation and experimental study of lubricated/dry contact, thermal analysis; wear prediction, lubrication modeling of artificial hip joint, dynamics of rolling bearing. We have developed a successful lubrication model which can consider the effects on lubrication performance of inlet oil supply, local asperity contact, interasperity cavitation, real machining rough surface, elastic-plastic deformation, inhomogeneity and other factors. The proposed dynamic model of rolling bearing coupled with lubrication model can predict the motion of rolling elements, skidding and lubrication performance, can be further used to optimal design of rolling bearing. The optical EHL test rig is unique to investigate the high-speed lubrication up to 50m/s.
