What does the scholarship cover?
-Registration, tuition, laboratory experiments, internship, and basic textbooks
-Accommodation on or off campus depends on availability
-Outpatient medical service and Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme
-Monthly living allowance: Undergraduate: CNY 2,500 (USD 400)
Master: CNY 3,000 (USD 485)
PhD Candidates: CNY 3,500 (USD 565)
Who can apply?
1. Applicants are non-Chinese citizens and in good health;
2. Applicants are not registered students in Chinese universities at the time of application;
3. Applicants are not applying for language programs.
4. Applicants who have graduated from Chinese universities for more than one year;
5. Applicants for Master programs should be under the age of 35 and hold a bachelor’s degree;
6. Applicants for PhD programs should be under the age of 40 and hold a master’s degree
Reminders
★ If you have chosen a master/PhD program from our Admission Book, please check the contact information of BIT advisors at http://isc.bit.edu.cn/. To ensure your successful admission and future academic development at BIT, it is essential that you get recommended by some BIT advisor first and ask him or her to send you a signed BIT Advisor Recommendation Form to confirm the recommendation.
★ If the program you apply is offered in English and you are not from English-speaking countries, you need to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic). The minimum score requirement is 80 for TOEFL and 5.5 for IELTS.
For the application of the English-taught program of MBA, you are also required to offer an official letter which says that you have already had at least one year’s working or internship experience.
★ If the program you apply is offered in Chinese, you should take the HSK 4 (Chinese Proficiency Test) exam and pass it.
★ If you are interested in applying to BIT, you should also do the physical checkup at a local hospital with the downloaded Physical Examination Record for Foreigner from http://isc.bit.edu.cn/show.aspx?id=137&cid=119.
★ If you have already graduated, please go to local notary office to have your master or bachelor degree certificate and transcript of the highest degree notarized. But if you are still a registered student, you need to notarize your transcript and also provide an official letter from the university which states your approximate graduation date.
Application Processes
If you have decided to join BIT under the CSC scholarship, please follow the application processes listed below:
Step 1: Please create an account on the CSC website at http://www.campuschina.org/ from December 1st, 2017 to April 15th, 2018 and choose type B. The agent No. of BIT is 10007. When the online registration is finished, please download the application form and take note of your CSC serial number;
Step 2: Please create an account on the BIT website at http://isc.bit.edu.cn/, upload all the application documents and pay the application fee of 600 CNY (non-refundable). Please take note of your BIT application number;
List of the uploaded documents:
●CSC application from;
●Notarized master or bachelor degree certificate (English version) for graduates/Certificate of schooling for registered students;
●Notarized transcripts of the highest degree;
●BIT Advisor Recommendation Form in which your CSC serial number and BIT application number should be written;
●Curriculum Vitae;
●Personal Statement indicating the purpose of study, preferred research work or experience and academic background and other supporting materials;
●Two recommendation letters by home university professors, and for MBA program applicants, the certificate of working/internship experience is also a must;
●Front page of the passport;
●Physical Examination Record for Foreigner;
●TOEFL/IELTS/ HSK 4 transcript.
Step 3: If no TOEFL or IELTS transcript is available, BIT will arrange an online English language test for some of you to make sure that your English ability is sufficient for studying at our university.
