On December 4, the 2022 National University Students' Intelligent Precision Assembly Competition kicked off in Beijing. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic situation, the competition was temporarily changed from offline to online and offline.
The competition was organized by the Production Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, and AUBO (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the National Innovation Center for Complex and Micro Structure Processing Technology, the National Demonstration Center for Ground Mobile Equipment, and the Jiangsu Institute of Technology. It is the highest level and broadest competition in the assembly field of machinery and other related disciplines in colleges and universities across the country.
Professor Tan Jianrong, academician of the CAE Member; Ms. Peng Yanping, the former deputy inspector of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense; Mr. Lu Daming, the vice chairman of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering; Professor Wang Bo, the vice president of Beijing Institute of Technology; and Professor Wei Hongxing, the chairman of AUBO (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, respectively.
The director of the competition organizing committee, Professor Zhang Zhijing; the leader of the competition arbitration team and the former chief engineer of the Ninth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology, Researcher Chen Xiaozhen; and Researcher Yao Zhuxian, the leader of the judging team of the competition and the director of the Ninth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology, delivered a speech. Professor Jin Xin, Executive Deputy Director of the Competition Organizing Committee and Professor of Beijing Institute of Technology, presided over the opening ceremony.
The finals were held around four events, namely, automatic identification and installation of parts, precision assembly of double-orifice plate micro-shaft, assembly of disk parts and assembly technology of flange thread connection. The 43 teams from Beijing Institute of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Jiangsu Institute of Technology and other universities stood out from a total of 127 preliminary teams in each competition area. The competition was held online and offline at the same time, and was broadcast live nationwide.
Judges from universities, aerospace, weapons and ships and other related fields participated in the evaluation of the competition. After fierce competition, 52 individual awards and 26 comprehensive awards were selected from the competition. At the closing ceremony, Professor Chen Wenliang of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Professor Wang Xiaodong of Dalian University of Technology, Professor Zhang Zhijing of Beijing Institute of Technology, and Minister Yao Zhuxian of the Ninth Academy of Astronautics and Astronautics read out the list of winners of the National Finals. Professor Li Chaojiang, Secretary-General of the Competition Organizing Committee and Professor of Beijing Institute of Technology, delivered a speech to summarize the competition, and thanked to the organizers and co-sponsors of the competition, as well as the experts in front and behind the scenes.
This competition was specifically undertaken by the Micro Manufacturing Technology Lab of our school. From the setting of the competition questions to the organization, coordination and supervision of the preliminary and final competitions, the Micro Manufacturing Technology Lab paid a lot of energy, reflecting our rigorous, pragmatic, tireless, energetic attitude of students and the team spirit of unity. The contest aims to build an exchange and display platform of intelligent assembly technology, promote the application of advanced concepts and technologies of intelligent assembly, cultivate the innovation and practical ability of intelligent assembly talents, stimulate the interest and potential of college students in mechanical engineering and related cross-fields, boost the continuous development and progress of intelligent precision assembly technology, and help our country achieve a leap from a big manufacturing country to a strong manufacturing country.
