On November 20, a delegation led by Professor Selo, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Indonesia, visited Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT).
The meeting was attended by Ms. Chen Hui from the International Students Center and the Office of External Affairs and Admissions at BIT, Jia Boru, Assistant Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Wang Zhifu, Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles, Deputy Director Chen Xiaokai, and Zhang Zhaosheng, among others. Both sides introduced their respective research, student training programs, and academic development in the field of engineering, and engaged in in-depth discussions on scientific and technological cooperation in the field of electric engineering machinery, student exchange, and the establishment of joint laboratories.
Professor Wang Zhifu and Professor Selo signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on behalf of the National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles and the Faculty of Engineering at UGM, respectively.
After the signing ceremony, the UGM delegation visited the National Monitoring and Management Platform for New Energy Vehicles to learn about the current development of China's new energy vehicle industry, the core achievements and applications of the National Engineering Research Center in the big data sector of new energy vehicles, and more.
This signing strengthens mutual understanding and communication, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation. Moving forward, both institutions will maintain close communication, focusing on academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and talent cultivation, to promote international collaboration between the two universities.
